Might as well put one of these up too. Do you have a favorite duel, possibly you were in it? You owned your opponent, didn't you? OR you got your ass handed to you, right? Com'on, let's hear it.
Besides of course those first.. uh.. 'duels' I shared with those in the clans, I'd say the duel I had with Brian and Deng Ai from Erik's site were very good. The duel with Deng Ai was one of the first real duels I had since I'd joined Bot3k and started writing with much more detail. We sorta tied it, I will forever say I was winning, though. I also had that duel with Brian, Bot3k Season 3, in the tournament. That was a great duel, though we never finished it. We put a lot of effort into our posts and went several great rounds. Brian's won so far, as I've yet to respond to the last round we had.
For duels that I wasn't in, I'm gonna say the duel that Alex and Jin had on one of the seasons in Betrayal. That was a great duel, in fact, I'm going to go read it over again so I can remember how to properly duel (Ya know, sometimes ya just forget the basics). In reality, I think both players could have pushed it a bit further if they wanted to, but it was still a very well matched duel. I forget who won, though who cares? It was such a great duel.. hidden from the public eye. When two players can understand each other, then everyone's in for a treat. If Ego is involved to a point of being unnecessary, then ego itself will only win.. A duel is a journey of compromises and small victories. As it unfolds, it becomes clear who wins. Not so much certain, but not like rolling dice, either.
Anyway, I can't forget the duels I had with Gryff. Most of you don't know him, and probably will never, as he's gone now. While I knew him though we have several practice duels that I can note as being the better duels I ever had, as they were so simple and fun, something duels are meant to be. There were never real problems and it was all quite fluid and we both just posted well together, thus, it was simple. I had a great time and we did them usually in one or two nights, posting quickly and trying to get the upper hand or attempting at making powerful moves you could only dream of, thus it was fun. That's a true duel in a nutshell.
