"Ahh but you fail to realise, I am not evil my old friend, I simply believe that lord Damian is the only truly worthy lord around these lands." He smirked and put his right hand on Hurin's shoulder. "Tell me, why do you stay with Jericho. Have you not seen the corruption, do you not see it is doomed to fall. The lords of old are gone, there are none to protect it's lands, not anymore." He looked at the dwarf with a kind smile, he had been a good friend, and truth be told he was one of the only surviving generals worth anything in Jericho.
"Why not return to Jericho! Claim your rightful place! Take over Jericho! The people love you, they would do as you say, you could stabilise the lands and quell the rebellions, you know the dwarfs will help you, all you need is to apologize and give them a gift of friendship, will you not come with me, and rejoin."
The invitation was very tempting. The Elf rubbed his clean shaven chin thinking of the offer, wondering if he should give way, and start this fantasy age that Hurin had spoken of, but he had pledged his allegiance to Damian, he did not know what to do. Finally he answered after a breath and uncomfortable pause.
"I do not wish to take up the throne, the only thing I hold dear about Jericho is it's army, that would be all I would be going back to. If I could I would go back, but I am prohibited to do anything without my lord's permission. I have a duty here, and I will not be ruining that. I hate to say this, but you better go back before someone sees you."
"You truly have been manipulated, the Celamir I knew would never bow down like this, I shall go, expect nothing more of me, you had your chance."
The Dwarf pushed the boat off into the misty waters and hopped in. The Elf did nothing but watch as the boat drifted out to sea slowly but surely being shrouded by the mists that coated the land. He sighed and turned, two demons were there, staring menacingly as if they were about to eat him or something. He simply pushed them out of his way and squeezed between them and walked off towards the spire.
"I do not need this, he has gone, and I remain, that is all you need report cowards of the night."
