Starting Point: South of Asyut, Coastal region.
Goal: Island of Souls
"Ah. Why do we have to work so hard on making his stupid ship just so he could visit a town and have his 'fun'." One of the militia troops whined to a fellow soldier. He picked up a board of wood with the other soldier, sighing as he walked it towards the coast, where the other 498 soldiers were working on the ship. It was near completion, and it looked rather grand for one built in so little of a time. Perhaps it was the amount of people working on it; or maybe the endless hours they were requested to do. Either way, many weren't too pleased at this point.
"Maybe we should just abandon him and leave him to do it on his own," the other replied as they set the wood next to the ship. He stood tall, around 6 feet and 7 inches. A few of the soldiers working on the ship turned to him, their eyes opened in an eerie glare.
"That's a stupid idea... He'd find us, you know... He'd get angry." A slightly more mature-looking soldier said. He looked to be around 30 years of age, whilst the 'whiners' seemed to look 17, as Nakio did. Oh, Nakio... He is the reason of many of their discontent, despite him appearing the age of 17, he was feared by many of those who served under him. Personally, he didn't feel they needed to. He knew that he wouldn't lay a finger on them, unless of course, they deserved it. If they did, mercy was pointless, now wasn't it.
"And what could he possibly---." The man started, but stopped in his tracks as a cold hand found its way onto his shoulder. He slowly turned his head, his eyes meeting the silver of Nakio... The Chimera, as he was called.
"Would you like to find out, my dear friend, what would happen if you were to... 'run away'?" He asked, in a deep voice, calmly. He didn't add any hint of a threat within the voice, but a shiver still ran through the man's back as Nakio pulled his hand off.
"N-n-no sir..." He bowed deeply in a quick manner and ran off to help with the work. The fellow soldiers realized that they were staring, and resumed their work. One of the younger boys continued to look, a smile forming on his lips. He wasn't at all afraid of Nakio-sama, but rather, he admired him. Idolized, even. He hopped to his feet and ran over to Nakio, bowing as he got close.
"Hello, General Kokoro!" He said with a wide smile, fangs showing. {Note, I'm assuming the vampires in this roleplay refer to the vampires of folklore. Fangs and blood and such.} Nakio nodded, wondering why the boy had come to him.
"Hello, Retsui." He replied, nodding his head slightly to the boy, who seemed to be only... 13, in appearance. Though, being a vampire meant that he could be any age. "Is their something you would like to say?"
"Well, we're almost done with the ship. But, a lot of us are wondering why you've had the sudden urge to go to the island north of Azia." It was true that people were wondering that, but little Retsui didn't come for that. Actually, he didn't even have much of a reason to. He just wanted to, in all honesty.
A dreamy look appeared his Nakio's eyes as he looked at the sky. He shook his head and looked at Retsui with a smile. "Just another adventure, is that a problem?"
Retsui giggled, shaking his head. "Whatever you wish." He bowed, returning the the ship being created. It wouldn't be fair if he didn't help, now would it?

Two days later, the ship had been finished and they'd already set sail.

We're nearing Azia... Wait, Azia? No, what's the point of stopping there? We have enough food! He stood and went to the person steering the ship.
"Hey! Turn north, we're not stopping at Azia." He stormed off to his quarters, not wanting to be bothered with arguing with the imbeciles that were his crew. He lied down on his bed, closing his eyes just slightly when he heard the light step. He opened his eyes and saw the newest of his 'troops.' Janel Naru... She walked closer to him, a smile on her lips.
***
She left the room as the ship arrived on the coast. Nakio seemed confused as he simply sat there. A few minutes later, Retsui ran in and yell 'hi' but Nakio didn't really respond. He stared at the General for a bit, then started shaking him.
"Get it together!" He yelled. Nakio shook his head rapidly.
"Ah... We're there?" He asked, seeming to return to 'normal.' Retsui nodded, giving Nakio a reason to get up. He grabbed his coat and walked out the door. He said to Retsui as they walked, "Go tell everyone to meet me outside. Go."
A few minutes later, the entire militia of 500 people was outside of the ship, in rows of 25. One row was missing a person, because Retsui found his way up next to Nakio as usual. Janel, their little newcomer, glanced at Retsui... Jealousy, was it? Either way, Nakio turned towards the arena, looking at the massive building in the distance.
"Remember, I'll be fighting alone. BUT, that doesn't mean you get to slack off while I fight." He eyed the newcomer who'd suggested to the others of 'stopping' and quitting. "Either I'll show you my power." He thought for a mere moment, then continued, "Or I'll show you how much stronger other people are compared to you, and even me. Understood?"
In unison, the militia replied with 'Yes sir.' With that, Nakio turned his back to them and lead the march to the arena.
