The Obvious...
Ulfang stood upon the parapets. Word had gotten around that the Easterlings had joined with the orcs, sealing their bonds with them by adopting Orcish units into their folds. Although seen with a sort of resentment by the Easterling Battalions, they were none-the-less useful for what their intended purpose was...
Meatshields...
Ulfang walked down the stairs from the gatehouse. Easterling guards fell in line in front and behind him, standard operating procedure. 6 to the front, 8 to the back, with Haradrim Archers walking about the rooftops, 10, 5 to each side of the street.
However, where Ulfang was going, he would need no guards. As he walked the guards began to peel off with subtle motions from Ulfang. Now remaining were but two guards behind him, the rest having returned to duties elsewhere. He arrived at the docks, just as a fourth Black Ship was arriving. It rested at the docks, instead of slamming into the foundation, and the final member of their party.
A huge lumbering titan, of demonic descent, stomped off the deck of the ship, the final members of the Easterling army jumping off with him, all from the mixed clans. Ungoliant lumbered off the ship, a huge broadsword in hand, and looked towards Ulfang.
Ungoliant, friend. Come, me and you have a man to see, about a horse.
Ungoliant merely nodded his head in acknowledgement and continued on with Ulfang. Ulfang and Ungoliant walked outside of the city, and continued in a northward direction for about 5 miles.
The Blade Master
Ulfang and Ungoliant, both in near perfect condition due to their extensive training, and the fact that Ungoliant wasn't a corporeal body, arrived at a small hut. There was a fire burning inside against the growing cold of the north, and Ulfang knocked upon the door here. Thatched reeds creaked against his rough armored fist, and the door opened slightly as he knocked. Eventually a clicking was heard as a man with a cane answered. He wore a rough olive tunic and dusty earthen brown trousers, with visibly suspenders across his shoulder. He looked as old as the countryside around his house; rolling hills and giant timbers. He motioned them inside.
The two 'men' entered, and turned around as the man closed the door. He stood straighter and threw the cane to the side.
Sorry. Have to keep up the illusion young apprentices.
Indeed, Blade Master. I have come for the final part of my ascension to Blade Mastering.
Grrrr... Rumbled Ungoliant in his approval of ascending Ulfang.
The Blade Master nodded.
And then attacked...
The Master's Master
Ulfang gritted his teeth, as he held the back side of his scimitar against his left palm, his right hand unbending in its resolve to hold the blade in place. The attacking blade pushed harder and harder against his own, until finally it relented. However, it didn't stay pacified for long, as it shot forth to seek to end Ulfang's life.
Ulfang hop-stepped left, and swung the scimitar downwards, away from Ulfang, clashing against the other sword hard, causing it vibrate into its wielders hand. However, Ulfang wouldn't take the reprieve to catch his breath. He immediately brought it around in a swoop, and brought it towards his assailants throat. It stopped a few centimeters from its target, hovering, unmoving, unbending in its resole to sever its targets neck. Yet, it never finished its attack.
Good! You have bested the master! Congratulations. You have earned your title. Let the lords above and the demons below watch over the two of you. Ulfang....
You have ascended to the rank of Blade Master. Go forth and show the enemies of Orsinium what it means to fight an Easterling, such as ourselves.
Yes Master. But I must ask... How did you arrive on this despicable continent before us?
Yeeaaaassssssss? Hissed the unholy Ungoliant.
A master never reveals all of his secrets to his student, especially when one could potentially become a hazard to his own health.
Go with speed Ulfang of Belriand, and Ungoliant of Beldriam, brothers of sister cities.
The master turned and began to set a fire inside the cabin, as Ulfang and Ungoliant walked outside of the cabin and began the 5 mile trek back to Gedas...
